With Love From The Mountains, Hanoi

What a gorgeous little shop filled with the most beautifully made textile treasures from the central and northern ethnic communities of Vietnam. The family that own and work in this shop come from the areas where the products are actually made and will explain about the patterns and meanings of the designs on the fabrics. We bought a few bags, a covered notebook and some bookmarks and everything is reasonably priced for the great quality (don’t expect the cheap mass produced work that you see in many of the shops in the old quarter). The workmanship of the embroidery and dyeing of the fabrics is so beautiful, I imagine that it would be difficult for anyone to leave this shop without buying even something small as a memory of Vietnam and the beautiful people of this country. I enjoyed my time looking in this shop, talking with the shop attendant (Snow?) who is studying at university & knowing that I was supporting communities and buying ethically sourced products. x :)

since the first moment that we arrived to this shop we fell in love with all the handmade things they have and we wanted to buy everything! Then Tam explained us that all is made in her hometown and other places in the north Vietnamese mountains like Sapa and how they make it, she was soooo lovely and friendly ❤️. We bought two things but we are waiting for the last version of the website to buy more things online! If you go to Hanoi don’t forget to stop here ;)
