Havasu Falls reviews
Bucketlist item! We went in April 2019 and the weather was warm, but the water was on the cooler side for me. Definitely hope to do this again one day!

This is an amazing place, well worth the effort to get here. Crystal blue-green water lazily flows from waterfall to waterfall. It truly is a must-see experience. The tallest waterfalls, Havasu and Mooney, are majestic and powerful. But there are scores of smaller falls all throughout the stream formed by the lime deposits in the water. The whole area is unbelievably picturesque. If you are camping in the Havasupai Campground, be aware of the squirrels and raccoons. Tie your packs up in the trees, but not too close to the branches. The raccoons come at night, roaming in groups from camp to camp looking for food that has been left too close to the grounds. The squirrels take the day shift, swiping any food that is left out, or too close to the ground or branches. Both the raccoons and the squirrels will chew through tents and backpacks to get to food. String it up if you are not using it.
Such a beautiful place. There hike in is easy, the hike out challenging. Definitely hike to beaver falls and explore some of the side canyons off the beaten path. Be cautious when hiking (climbing) down Mooney falls. It's slick and requires some skill and reasonable health to get up and down. But, it is so worth it. The locals are a mix of welcoming lovely people and those that hate the tourist. When camping, watch out for the wildlife and your food. Mice, squirrels, and raccoons are very adept at getting to your food and toiletries. Not sure I would return as there are so many beautiful places to visit, but havasupai was special. The permit is expensive and campground does get busy.
