St George Art Museum, St. George

A nice small local museum, which has had some much-needed updates of late. Enjoyment will vary depending on the current exhibit. Visitors with children should be aware that although the website shows "ARTIE's Discovery Center," where children can do hands-on art projects related to the exhibits, this has been pared down to a couple of shelves where guests can pick up coloring pages or small art kits to take home. There are no supplies and no tables provided for children to do the art projects in the museum, contrary to the pictures and description online.

The current exhibit, Facing Fire, (Now until end of August) is AMAZING!!!! Literally, I laughed, I cried! Be sure to watch the video presentation. It is very powerful. I am local to St George, UT and find myself wandering in there now and then when I have some time to kill. It is worth scheduling a trip. Plus, if you have kids/teenagers they offer up fun things to do! Great addition to the St George area.
