Ken and Melissa Moholt-Siebert started Ancient Oak Cellars winery with a Pinot Noir vineyard just north of Santa Rosa that had been Ken's grandparents. Their first vintage was in 2006. Today you can taste their wines--Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Zinfandel from Russian River Valley, Cab, Merlot, and Cab Franc from Sonoma Mountain. They source grapes from three estate vineyards, which they farm themselves, and several other amazing Sonoma County vineyards. Greg La Follette is the winemaker.

Tastings are by appointment only. Email melissa@ancientoakcellars.com for more details.

  • This is a nice little winery in downtown Santa Rosa. The owner was actually pouring for us. This is one of the first wineries that we went it in Cali, and it was a great way to start our tours...

  • A super cute little tasting room and deli off the downtown Santa Rosa square. We came in around 4pm on a Saturday to taste some wine. They fixed us up with flights and glasses for those who didn't want variety, and even though the deli was closed, they fixed us a little brie and crostini platter when we got munchies. Super nice people, good wine, good food - what more can you ask for?
  • My wife and I stopped by Ancient Oak Cellars over the Memorial Day Weekend, and we had a blast! Melissa, one of the owners, was working the counter, and she spent the better part of an hour sharing her wines and the history of their vineyard with us. Our visit to Ancient Oak Cellars absolutely made our trip to Santa Rosa. We'll definitely be back!
