Our Lady of Peace Church, Santa Clara

Absolutely one of my favorite places to go on mini pilgrimages. Any place that that 24-7 Adoration is just incredible in my book. It is a truly awe inspiring and peace inducing area. One of the areas I like is the outside Stations of the Cross, and how you finish them you're led to our Blessed Mother with hands outstretched to embrace you. It is a wonderful place to pray, meditate and contemplate outside or even inside the church itself with the Exposition of our Blessed Lord. I always enjoy going into their gift shop as well, so many beautiful items there and wide selection of books! I highly recommend checking it out. The very extensive amount of parking also makes this a nice unencumbered visit (outside of Mass times or special events). What makes it more incredible, is that it's nestled right in the midst of Silicon Valley. I'd highly recommend visiting here a while, sit and contemplate the glory of God through His Glorious Mother and our Lady of Peace. Nothing like praying the Rosary while beholding the huge image of our Lady :)

Our Lady of Peace church and Shrine was an unexpected delight during my visit to San Jose, California. I went in order to attend a daily Mass and spent close to four hours walking the grounds and praying. The day was magnificent as far as weather is concerned, but there is a palpable sense of peace in being there. Eucharistic adoration is available and prayers of the Rosary and Divine Mercy our broadcast through a speaker system so that one may walk the grounds and pray with the community. It is a treasure in the middle of business.
