We visited late afternoon and it was OK. Yes, there were a few homeless individuals, but they didn’t bother us. Went back after dinner and there were several individuals in sleeping bags scattered.... more

If you enjoy being harassed by the homeless, this it the place to go in SLO. The entire town of San Luis Obispo has really been inundated with homeless, but the mission and it's surrounding lawns...

Charming collage town. Plenty of free parking and public restrooms. So many shops and restaurants. Patios all over the streets so don’t worry it’s open here. Take your masks and hand sanitizer and you are good to go. The mission is closed but you can see it outside and enjoy the gardens all around it. Enjoy locale artists at the galleries and enjoy the San Louis obispo creek running through downtown.
