The Fleet Science Center (previously the 'Reuben H. Fleet Science Center') is a science museum and planetarium in Balboa Park, located in San Diego, California. It is at the east end of the El Prado Drive walkway, next to the Bea Evenson Fountain and plaza in central Balboa Park.
Established in 1973, it was the first science museum to combine interactive science exhibits with a planetarium and an IMAX Dome (OMNIMAX) theater, setting the standard that most major science museums follow today.

  • Not a lot to see, young kids area on top floor best thing they had, other than that not geared to young kids. Old science displays, not a lot of engaging things for kids under 7. Stuff seemed kinda...

  • It was so much fun!! We went on July 4th and there were so few people there. It was great. We have a 4 year old and a 9 year old and both were thoroughly entertained by the majority of the exhibits....  more

  • Great place. Recommended for kids. There was a set place for kids to go and it contained cool contraptions. There were 2 stories and we saw everything in about 3 hours. There was a dome with a show. It was really cool and it premiered different shows about the world. Great for all kids and adults alike! Best feature in my opinion was the dome. I want one! It was kinda crowded and not that many people wore masks
  • I love this science center! It's been a few years since we've been here but we purchased the annual subscription and had a great time! I love the changing exhibits and the transportation exhibit they have going on right now! It was a blast and they have a hover craft right now too. It's more like an air hockey table type of hover but still cool!
