Laguna Seca Raceway (branded as WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, and previously Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca) is a paved road racing track in central California used for both auto racing and motorcycle racing, built in 1957 near both Salinas and Monterey, California, United States.

The racetrack is 2.238 mi (3.602 km) long, with a 180 ft (55 m) elevation change. Its eleven turns are highlighted by the circuit's signature turn, the downhill-plunging "Corkscrew" at Turns 8 and 8A. A variety of racing, exhibition, and entertainment events are held at the raceway, ranging from superkarts to sports car racing to music festivals. Laguna Seca is classified as an FIA Grade Two circuit.
The name Laguna Seca is Spanish for dry lagoon: the area where the track now lies was once a lake, and the course was built around the dry lake bed. After the course was reconfigured, two artificial ponds were added.

  • Staff in our chalet was terrific. Food was OK. Location has a good view. Lots of restrooms close by as well. Could use fans or portable AC as it can get very hot. Overall facility is very nice. Good.....  more

  • Loved everything about LaGuna Seca outside of the fact that they need to get a ride share lot on the premises for events. Trying to get a Lyft or Uber in to pick you up proved to be quite difficult.....  more

  • World class track that is a must on any racer's bucket list. The elevation changes are amazing and really spice up the technicalness. It's nice that there are only 10 turns because it makes it easy to learn the track lay out, and you can focus on developing and refining your line. Many of the corners are banked which makes them faster than you would think they would be, but also lots of downhill braking zones means you need to brake a little earlier than you would on a flat surface. Facilities are awesome as well. Camping on the hills overlooking the hills around Monterey. Nice food on site. Of course while in the area there are plenty of things to do and places to eat.
  • This is my first trip to Laguna Seca and I have to say it was an absolutely incredible experience the facility is world class and everybody was so friendly. The elevation changes are something that you never quite understand watching it on television. But the highlight of the trip was a fast lap around the track with a professional driver that I can only describe the ones in a lifetime experience
