oh my goodness! We went to Charlotte Beach/Lake Ontario on December 30th! And it was 60 degrees! In Rochester! I know!! Really fun to walk the dog out on the Pier in the sunshine and greet others...

The beaches are ng and go one forever. The park is huge, beautiful, restrooms, picnic Pavillion, benches, band stand. A long pier with a lighthouse on the end. Near the Rochester port and buildings..... more

The beach is beautiful and so quiet. There is a huge area to walk in and there is plenty of shade in the park. There is a lot of parking and the water is so clean here too. The walk way down to the light house is beautiful too. The birds are everywhere here and it adds to the beauty of this place.

We read so many good review about this beach. We went yesterday, we were very disappointed. The beach was roped. We were not allowed to go into the water. The water was tested in the morning, it was high bacteria, therefore it was not recommended to swim. We smell something bad from the beach. The smell was coming from the water. The water seems dirty. The good thing is there is lifeguards on duty. There is a playground and washroom. There is an ice cream shop around the park.
