Genesee Brew House, Rochester

Very nice brewpub serving good beer and good food. We enjoyed the Scotch ale and the experiment IPA, both were great to drink alone or with food. The menu has many traditional brewpub food, like brats and burgers. Simple menu, but everything was done right. The service was great. Our servers were attentive and knowledgeable, allowing us to taste the beers before buying the whole pint. Good beer, good food, and great view of the fall. This combination is very difficult to top.

This place is a must if you’re in the Rochester area! If you can get a seat on the patio upstairs you’ll enjoy a beautiful view of the falls while having your meal. The pretzels appetizers are very nice and soft on the inside. I liked the beer cheese dip, but the beer Dijon mustard dip was too powerful of a taste. The burger was really good, and the flight of beer is a great way to test out a few of their brews. The service was excellent. I believe our server’s name was Verta (she went by V) and she was very attentive and kept checking on us. Drop by the brew house and you won’t be disappointed.
