We chose the easier hike just because we weren’t sure what we were getting into. The scenery was amazing and the hike was short but fun and well worth it

We visited Pagosa Springs along with Treasure Falls. It was a great visit especially the Springs Resort. We enjoyed the 25 spas and the area had some good hiking trails.

There's two lovely little hikes here. A primitive hike and a main trail. The primitive is as you read, unmaintained. You can mostly see where the trail "is" but you will be doing a little exploring on the way. We went up the primitive and came back the main trail because the primitive was quite steep. But there's definitely some truth to the saying of taking the road less traveled.

Perfect little walk for the whole family in the warmer months, if you go in the snow make sure you have proper shoes as the trail does increase in elevation. It's about a mile round trip if you go to the bridge and the main overlook. I've visited in the summer and winter and both times it was beautiful.
