  • We hiked the Storm King Trail after a short hike to Marymere Falls near Crescent Lake. The trail is short, less than 2 miles, but quite steep with switchbacks all the way. As you get near the end...

  • The view at the top was amazing. So worth the hike. I was very nervous about the rope climb but it was not that difficult. I recommend hiking boots and gloves for the rope climb.

  • Loved this hike! Definitely will feel it the next day but the views are amazing. By the time we got to the ropes, heavy, dark clouds had rolled in and unfortunately we couldn't continue. If you're afraid of hikes, the last portion may not be for you as there are steep drop offs on either side of a very, very narrow path. This is right before the ropes. Overall, it's a beautiful hike with rainforest, views, and fun challenges.
  • One of my favorite hikes ever! We did this yesterday morning at around 8am. I felt challenged but didn’t think it was as intense as I had heard - for example, I found Chimney Tops in The Smokeys to be more challenging, but I think that’s because this was less man made stairs and more uphill climbing, also the last bit has ropes that help a lot. We brought gloves for the ropes, but saw there was a big pile of gloves for those who need them. I didn’t think they were necessary on the way up, but if you don’t want or rope burn I’d make use on the way down. It took us about three hours total from start of the car and back. Went and did Merymere falls first because it was so close, which is just a short distance away. The hike didn’t kill us for the day as we went on to do many more after, but definitely go early. As we went up we only encountered a few serious hikers on their way down and were at the top with one other couple, but on our way down the place was swarming with a bunch of people wearing polos and sneakers who literally had no idea what they were in for. So go early to get your space and before the clouds roll in. We had great views and rainbows too. Would love to do this one again!
