  • Nice park with rolling hills. We didn’t see hardly any birds, however. Nice, friendly and informative staff.

  • Great place to hike! There are a couple of different trails with different sights and animals. See the park's website for the different sights. We did the South Marsh Loop Trail and highly recommend it! We did it clockwise and stopped by Hummingbird Island. Most of the trail is stroller friendly, apart from the train tracks and stairs by Hummingbird Island. The north side of trail is not shaded but the south side is mostly shaded. There is a slight elevation change at the beginning and end of the loop.
  • The Elkhorn slough is a real gem. Not only is it an interesting place to take a walk to see native plants and wildlife but it is also great to learn about the importance of wetlands in the Eco system. The museum is interesting for all ages. I was there for the Saturday morning bird walk with the docent and learned a lot. We saw a fair amount of birds too. It will be better in the fall.
