  • We stopped by the park on our way through the area. It’s a small but pretty park and the amenities appeared to be well kept. We’d like to come back when we can spend longer and do some kayaking.

  • State Park was really nice with beautiful views and lots of wildlife! I stood for a few minutes and waited for the bird to go after the crab, didn't happen while I was there. Before the beach I'd a picnic area and a small play area for the kids.
  • A beautiful park that has fantastic kayaking. We came here for the day in our RV. The parking lot is small but they have four RV spaces so we were able to get one. Kayaking is very popular here and they have rentals. We have our own kayaks and gear. There are two recommended kayak trails and we chose the mangrove tunnel trail. Oh what fun we had! We saw millions of baby jellyfish in what I can only describe as a jellyfish nursery back by the mangroves. We also saw all kinds of fish and many white horseshoe crabs mating. The trail is pretty short (less than an hour) but we spent hours out there. So many kayakers just passed through the middle and did not venture into the mangroves to see all the sea life. Their loss. We will definitely be back while we are in the Keys to do the other kayak trail, and also check out the sandbar party and the hiking trail down the road.
