I'm born and raised from Longview, so the lake holds a special spot in my heart. But it has so many opportunities to be with nature and also be in the middle of the city. I wouldn't go swimming in it, but people kayak and fish regularly. Several parks are along the lakeside that offer picnic seating and shady spots under the trees.
