Rancho Los Alamitos takes its name from an 1834 Mexican partition of the 1784 Rancho Los Nietos, a Spanish concession, covering an area in present-day California's southwestern Los Angeles County and northwestern Orange County. Los Alamitos means the Little Cottonwoods or Poplars in Spanish, after the native Fremont Cottonwood trees there. With our international travel planner, Long Beach attractions like Rancho Los Alamitos can be center stage of your vacation plans, and you can find out about other attractions like it, unlike it, near it, and miles away.

My husband, my 5yo and I attended the Christmas tour. It was wonderful. My husband’s grand ma is nearly 100yo and it was so beautiful to see a house at Christmas decorated in the same way that when she was born. The entire experience was lovely, we were told so many great info on the house, the time, and how Christmas was celebrated back then. We felt welcomed and we were able to ask all the questions we had. It was truly magical and we loved the hot cocoa and delicious biscuit at the end. Thank you!
I loved this place! What a great peaceful piece of property in the city. The baby goats stole show.
