Create an itinerary including Grand Canyon Skywalk
Grand Canyon Skywalk--a transparent, horseshoe-shaped platform that extends over the edge of the Grand Canyon--is not for the faint of heart. Walk out and gaze down 1,000 m (3,500 ft) to see the Colorado River rushing below. This feat of modern engineering is part of the Hualapai Indian reservation; it was commissioned by and is owned by tribe. You must pay a fee to enter the reservation, plus an additional fee to go out on the platform. Personal items, including cameras, are not permitted on the Skywalk, but you can purchase a professional photograph of your visit from the gift shop. With our custom trip planner, Hualapai Reservation attractions like Grand Canyon Skywalk can be center stage of your vacation plans, and you can find out about other attractions like it, unlike it, near it, and miles away.

  • This is my first 1 star review! Please save your $$$ and your precious time on your vacation and just move on to any other part of the Canyon : they would all be definitely better than this. First off, you pay through your nose to step on the bridge. Then you wait for hours and hours in queues- absolutely no signage, nobody to tell you what's going on, you just see people standing somewhere in a line and join them assuming they're waiting for the sky bridge! It wasn't the least bit exciting to stand on the stupid bridge- no it's not thrilling, not scary nor has great views! The only views you get here are of people doing weird poses for photos. They have professional photographers waiting on the bridge to click your pics (if you wish). The pictures do not look professional at all. We had to leave all our belongings including cellphones in a locker and had to wear filthy shoe covers before stepping on the bridge. I wish I could get my $$$ and ~4hrs back to spend it somewhere better! Skip this! You won't miss anything in life. You're welcome!
  • A cute experience. It’s a bit pricey considering it does not reach out as far as I expected it should, the location could be a little better, and you’re not allowed to take your own photos while on the skywalk. I understand there are likely reasons for each of these things. For example, without additional support from above or below, the cantilever cannot reach out further, the location was likely a compromise among local peoples, and requiring that photos be taken by the visitor center and purchased by the visitors is a good way to generate revenue for the local people that need support. So, is the Grand Canyon breathtaking? Yes! Will this make the experience even cooler? Sure! Is it a DO NOT MISS? Not really. But if you can combine the walk for about $15-25 per person with your tour package without breaking the bank, then give it a shot. It’s typically less expensive to purchase it with your tour package and not make a game time decision while there. It will also be busy most likely. Enjoy!
