  • Peekaboo and Spooky are amazing slot canyons but be sure you can handle them, especially Spooky. Spooky is very narrow in places and would be impassible for even a moderately large person. Do not...

  • This was a great hike! Make sure you start from the top, coming across from peekaboo. When coming from peekaboo follow cairns almost in a straight line.. you will come to a kind of fork in the desert with one lone tree/shrub that you will see and think ah a little shade to rest and sit. At this tree is the fork in the path. Veer right to go down back toward spooky exit or peekaboo entrance. Stay straight or to the left of the tree to continue to Spooky. That entrance is probably 30-50 yards past the tree and down just a bit. Spooky is very narrow in places but in a fun way, hold backpack in one hand and move sideways narrow. I'm 180lbs and did fine. There is a rock slide but way thru is over to left and down the hole and down the rope. Very fun! Even after a flash flood it was pretty dry except one spot that you can't avoid, which is a shallow pool after a kind of slide. Both peekaboo and spooky are fun and easy but spooky is easier anytime, peekaboo nearly impossible when wet, you will know if there is a big puddle in front of entrance. You need 2-3 good folks for team work is the only way. See peekaboo review to learn how to do when wet
  • An amazing hike!! The slots are beautiful! It is fun to climb down the rope. **Make sure you go the right way** it is tight in some places and not enough room for people to be hiking both directions. Our group (going the right way) has to wait for 20-30 mins for ppl going the wrong way to come thru.
