Our Estate San Saba Vineyard is sheltered in a nook just below the Santa Lucia Highlands AVA, roughly 25 miles southeast of the town of Monterey. Our climate is heavily influenced by the morning fog and afternoon winds from the nearby Pacific Ocean. This is a cool site with little rainfall and one of the longest growing seasons in the world. Our unusual climate allows us to produce ripe, concentrated wines of exceptional balance.Using our custom trip planner, Carmel attractions like Wrath Tasting Room- Carmel can form part of a personalized travel itinerary.
Wrath is the brainchild of archaeologist Michael Thomas. Michael assembled a vineyard/winemaking team that includes winemaker Sabrine Rodems, consultant Byron Kosuge, and grower Steve McIntyre.

We went to two tasting rooms in Carmel - Scheid and Wrath. We hit Wrath first and were able to get an indoor seat right away. We sat in the corner and perused the offering card and got 1 of each...

A beautiful Pinot dominate tasting room. Grab some cheese from Carmel cheese shop and have a snack while you enjoy some truly delicious wines.

Wrath has a fantastic winemaker, Sabrine Rodems who leaves people thirsty for more excellent pinot noirs, chardonnays, syrahs and even stainless steel sauvignon blanc. A local hot spot that is worth visiting for tasting locally sourced grapes. Inspired by Led Zeppelin and not the Grapes of Wrath, the aromas will definitely punch you right on the nose. Do visit! The staff are wonderful, the cheese shop is next door(great for pairing), and the wine never stops pouring. Definitely try the tondré, The Swan, the San Saba syrah, and their latest, sauv blanc in a can! Also, wrath has membership and ships to a number of states! Great wines. It’s no wonder the locals try and keep it a secret.
