The beach is accessible from the 2.4 km (1.5 mi) long wooden boardwalk occasionally shaded by cypress trees and equipped with benches.   • Interesting beach, as its filled with tiny pebbles (and dark sand). I went there to collect moonstones but there wasn’t many, and the ones I found were tiny… but I did have a nice drive down there and it was a serene & beautiful beach. Too bad I missed the seals sunbathing though, as I got there in the afternoon… I think they usually sunbathe in the morning…
  • Moonstone beach is one of my favorites. I love to visit the town of Cambria and we will always stop by when in town. There are a lot of nice hotels and lodging along the waterfront area. There’s lots of driftwood on the beach that people use to build some crazy looking structures. We’ve been very fortunate to see dolphins I the water jumping and playing. Moonstone is just another beautiful California beach!
