DorWood Distillery, Buellton

My husband and I happened to stumble on this little gem, by spotting their sigh while over at Industrial Eats. We come to Buellton a few times a years and always stay at Flying Flags RV Resort, enjoy riding our bikes around town and trying new places as we explore the area. We had no idea that this place was here and we were pleasantly surprised! I chose a mixed drink for $10 and my husband did the tasting for $10. If you purchase a bottle, that $10 fee for the taste is waived. You can have a drink made with one of the 4 spirits, or taste all 4 to include: vodka, gin, whiskey and/or limoncello. Our second visit we brought friends! We just cannot keep this place a secret! It is too good! Therefore, if you are driving down the 101 or staying in the area (Buellton or Solvang) this is for sure a place to stop, have a taste or a drink, and then stop by Industrial Eats for a bite to eat, or even The Bottlest at the end of the same road. Jay the owner, is amazing and fun to talk to. To learn about all he does and the base for each of his spirits in both interesting and educational. I prefer gin and his has an amazing taste, I will be purchasing a bottle our next stop! Just amazing!

We had an amazing chat with the owner/distiller while trying a flight. As gin people, we absolutely loved the G7! So fruitful and flavorful! Jay said we could drink it neat or warmed up as a comforting herbal after-dinner drink. Worth the stop! Unique and smooth flavors!
