Pine Knot Trail, Big Bear Lake

Visited here on November 6th and let me tell you, this trail is the most beautiful in the fall. The perfect place to take an autumn stroll. The colors of the leaves shine brightly at golden hour too, it was so magical and aesthetically pleasing 🤎🍂

This is a very scenic, moderate trail that truly feels like you're inside the forest. Pineknot trail meets & intersects with a few others like Cabin 89 and so on. Every once in a while there are signs telling you which trail you are at. In other areas there are logs laid down with blue markings as well to lead you back. I started at the Aspen Glen picnic area (that's where Google Maps took me). We parked alongside the street. If you park inside the parking lot-- you need to buy a pass. There's lots of beautiful views & squirrels. Very big squirrels. There's a lot of trees so lots of shade during midday. The trail also feels a lot more leveled and so when you're going up or down it doesn't feel necessarily steep. There are bathrooms & tables at the picnic area.
