  • Amazing hike.. parking was a little rough along the main road and you do need a pass to park/hike (only $5 at a 7-11 in town). We started the hike from bottom up and it is a out and back hike...

  • This is a difficult hike with a lot of boulders and stones on the way. I would say be weary of slipping on the slopes. Its a bit tough for kids but really fun.

  • It’s honestly one of the most magnificent hikes I’ve ever been on. It was a nice escape from downtown LA. It was in the 40s but the sun was warm and there was still some snow on the ground, but the roads getting here were clear. Be sure to wear sunscreen! The UV index was 9. The air was clean and the scenery was beautiful. I thought I had read that this hike can be done in an hour but we took a lot longer than that, maybe it was that we just loved our surroundings so much and wanted to soak it in. Be sure to follow the rock pile trail markers, it can be a little easy to wander off trail.
  • It is a short trail, about 3 miles. But the first 1 mile is very hard. The slope is steep uphill. It was just at 0.5 miles when I stopped walking to take a rest with hard breathing. The Castle Rock is in the middle of the trail. I tried to reach to the top but failed. Many big trees and rocks seem to be artificial. Street parking only.
