The museum was only open on weekends when we were in town, but the outdoor displays were excellent! I love the history of the area, the Calaveras Big Trees, and the local lakes. We walked the trail.... more

Awesome little museum. Free admission but donations are accepted which of course I did because it was worth the visit. Great logging equipment outside with very cool detailed model displays inside...

Nice area with a huge duck pond. Overall nice lake. Saw family's with their children fishing and swimming, playing volleyball and tennis. Has several logging machines and chainsaws and even a piece of a train where you can take pictures. Theirs plenty of parking and theirs no charge to come here.

Love this Museum! Visited pre-pandemic, so looking forward to going back and bringing visiting family. Volunteer Foresters were priceless!!
