Create an itinerary including Goldfield Ghost Town
Get in touch with the spirit of the Old West at Goldfield Ghost Town, a historical former mining village brought back to life. When gold ore was discovered in the surrounding area in the 1890s, the boomtown quickly grew thanks to the influx of treasure-seekers and fortune-hunters heading out west. Though the town itself only really lasted about 5 years, you'll find that its saloons, shops, and other wooden buildings have been restored accurately. You can wander the streets and witness re-enactors dressed in period clothing taking part in daily activities and experience the occasional shootout (for show, of course), all while enjoying the mountainous Arizona landscape around you. Pay a visit to the saloon and restaurant to get a feel for the environment in which the town's residents would relax and interact. Be sure to check the website for information on special events and shows. Using our custom trip planner, Apache Junction attractions like Goldfield Ghost Town can form part of a personalized travel itinerary.

  • Pretty fun place! Lots to do and see. I like that you pay per experience and not a general admission. The zip line looks sketchy but it really isn't. We enjoyed the train ride and seeing all of the cacti around the little ghost town. We ate at the little stand towards the front of the park and the food was amazing. There were lots of fun little shops to browse. We really enjoyed the American Indian store they had some beautiful pieces of artwork inside. It was very hard not to buy everything!
  • This place is so AWESOME!!! A must do whether you're an Arizona native or just visiting. This place takes you literally back to the wild west with so much to see and do!!! Rich in history and the guides are very friendly and knowledgeable. They have Two dining options and one of them is yes of course, a saloon!!! They even have gun fights on the weekends!! Many things to buy too!!! I can't recommend this place enough!!!!
