One of the country's oldest vacation destinations, Alta Ski Area challenges powder hounds with demanding slopes for alpine skiing. Opened in the 1930s, the resort features over 100 ski runs spread over nearly 900 hectares (2,000 acres) of skiable area. The resort's terrain provides skiing opportunities for all skill levels, with more than half of its total area suitable for beginner and intermediate skiers. Wow! What can I say that hasn’t already been said? This mountain is wonderful. In my opinion, the best skiing in all of Utah. Amazing trails, amazing off trail skiing too. High speed lifts get you to the top fast. Incredible views and incredible snow. I’ve been coming here since I was a little kid, and will always come back!

Top flight slopes, quick lift times, and dispersed crowds even on a Saturday. Definitely a top tier spot for skiers coming to the area. We spent all morning and afternoon skiing, and we barely waited more than 5 mins at any lift. Views are spectacular, and you can find ever level of challenging run here. Highly recommend to all skiers
