One of the country's oldest vacation destinations, Alta Ski Area challenges powder hounds with demanding slopes for alpine skiing. The resort's terrain provides skiing opportunities for all skill levels, with more than half of its total area suitable for beginner and intermediate skiers. Offering much more than just light powder and steep slopes, the resort also provides year-round climbing and backcountry guided adventures. Its good if you are a beginner but why would you pass snowbird to ski alta. They only really have 1 good lift (Colins) and the vertical is barely there. Ski all day and barely get 20k vertical ft...

Beautiful mountain with legendary snow. But the people - both the skiers and the staff leave MUCH to be desired. The trip started with Emily, who works at the ticket office who hung up on me twice...

Wow! What can I say that hasn’t already been said? This mountain is wonderful. In my opinion, the best skiing in all of Utah. Amazing trails, amazing off trail skiing too. High speed lifts get you to the top fast. Incredible views and incredible snow. I’ve been coming here since I was a little kid, and will always come back!
Top flight slopes, quick lift times, and dispersed crowds even on a Saturday. Definitely a top tier spot for skiers coming to the area. We spent all morning and afternoon skiing, and we barely waited more than 5 mins at any lift. Views are spectacular, and you can find ever level of challenging run here. Highly recommend to all skiers
