The information board about Trinity Temple is very interesting as it gives sufficient detail about the ruin. It is a short walk from the church and was obviously a very important site in its time. I..... more

I explored Trinity Temple at Carnish, which is now populated by sheep and on a hillside coated with yellow iris’s. The church was an important medieval monastery and seat of learning but was abandoned after the reformation and probably had lots of stone looted for local building projects! I wouldn't recommend taking dogs as there are sheep and rabbits roaming free!

A beautiful little ruined church, with some very eroded graves. We just sat here in the sunshine and soaked up the atmosphere. Lovely.
