Eriskay Beach
Walk the white sands of Eriskay Beach, where Bonnie Prince Charlie first landed when he arrived for the 1745 rebellion. Now a quiet beach, its clean shores and blue waters make for a great stroll, picnic, or swim. Keep an eye out for the many different shells along the beach. Plan to visit Eriskay Beach during your Isle of Eriskay vacation using our convenient Isle of Eriskay online itinerary planner.

Beaches here are beautiful and wanted to find out which beach was the one that Bonnie Prince Charlie landed on so many years ago. Found it! Fantastic history.

This is quite certainly a wonderful beach with wonderful sand and superbly clear water. I followed a walk which went along the beach and then uphill and there is no doubt it is a photographer's dream.

I officially love this place obviously the rest of the islands are amazing too, but there is something about Eriskay, if you are on the Uists and the weather is bad, head downward they always seem to have it better, the beaches are stunning, there are others short eared owls golden Eagle white tailed Eagle and lots more, and the have a pub! 'The Polly' as it is affectionately known serves amazing food and a good choice of beer oh and they have WiFi, if you are a vetran of the western Isles you will know the value!

Lovely little island, easy to get to from Barra (ferry) or South Uist (road causeway). Nice little village, although I couldn't stop there this trip. The climb to the highest point offers lovely views around the island and surroundings.
