A trip to Rameswaram on Pamban Island will take you across a long limestone shoal bridge with spectacular ocean scenery.
Start off your visit on the 29th (Wed): take in the spiritual surroundings of Hanuman Temple and then examine the collection at Former President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam House. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: make a trip to Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Memorial, snap pictures at Pamban bridge, and then contemplate the waterfront views at Villoondi Tirtham.

Located at the most southerly point of mainland India, Kanyakumari has long attracted pilgrims and those keen to see the end of the road.
On the 31st (Fri), step into the grandiose world of Padmanabhapuram Palace and then contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Thanumalayan temple - Sthanumalayan Kovil. Keep things going the next day: don't miss a visit to Vivekananda Rock Memorial and then take in the spiritual surroundings of Bhagavathy Amman Temple.

You can drive from Rameswaram to Kanyakumari in 5 hours. Other options are to do a combination of bus and taxi; or take a train. In December in Kanyakumari, expect temperatures between 88°F during the day and 75°F at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 1st (Sat) so you can fly to Goa.
