San Diego — 8 nights

America's Finest City
Divided into neighborhoods with distinct characters and cultural heritages, San Diego sits just north of the Mexican border and offers visitors a blend of tourist attractions, including a lively nightlife, diverse cuisine, and a thriving musical scene.Venture out of the city with trips to Self Realization Fellowship Hermitage & Meditation Gardens (in Encinitas), Annie's Canyon Trail (in Solana Beach) and Anaheim (Disney California Adventure Park, Anaheim Packing District, &more). There's much more to do: let little ones run wild at Balboa Park, enjoy the sand and surf at Mission Beach Park, admire the majestic nature at Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve, and stroll through La Jolla Cove.
To see ratings, other places to visit, where to stay, and other tourist information, you can read our San Diego trip planner.
Seattle to San Diego is an approximately 4.5-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a bus. When traveling from Seattle in December, plan for much warmer days and a bit warmer nights in San Diego: temperatures range from 23°C by day to 12°C at night. You'll have a few hours on the 25th (Fri) to wrap things up before traveling home.
