Rome — 6 nights

Eternal City

Aptly nicknamed the Eternal City, Rome is the birthplace of the Roman Empire, one of the world's greatest civilizations ever.
Step out of Rome to go to Tivoli and see Villa d'Este, which is approximately 48 minutes away. There's much more to do: steep yourself in history at St. Peter's Basilica, ponder the design of Trevi Fountain, explore the ancient world of Palatine Hill, and appreciate the extensive heritage of Piazza Navona.

Plan my Rome trip by asking Inspirock to come up with tips and suggestions.

If you are flying in from Ireland, the closest major aiports are Leonardo da Vinci–Fiumicino Airport, Ciampino–G. B. Pastine International Airport and Perugia San Francesco d'Assisi – Umbria International Airport. In May in Rome, expect temperatures between 28°C during the day and 17°C at night.
