Built on seven hills, Lisbon has experienced a renaissance in recent years, making it the cultural star of Portugal.

Stockholm, Sweden to Lisbon is an approximately 7.5-hour flight. You can also drive; or do a combination of car and train. Traveling from Stockholm to Lisbon, you'll gain 1 hour due to the time zone difference. Traveling from Stockholm in July, things will get somewhat warmer in Lisbon: highs are around 34°C and lows about 20°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 4th (Mon) so you can catch the flight to Porto.

Called "Oporto" by many, the city of Porto along the Duoro River lent the country and Port wine their names.
Kick off your visit on the 5th (Tue): stop by Livraria Lello and then indulge your taste buds at Food & Drink. On the 6th (Wed), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: take in the spiritual surroundings of Porto Cathedral (Se Catedral), get into the urban bustle at Palacio da Bolsa, then snap pictures at Ponte de Dom Luis I, and finally take a leisurely stroll along Ribeira do Porto.

You can fly from Lisbon to Porto in 2.5 hours. Other options are to drive; or take a train. When traveling from Lisbon in July, plan for slightly colder days in Porto, with highs around 28°C, while nights are about the same with lows around 17°C. Wrap up your sightseeing by early afternoon on the 7th (Thu) to allow enough time to fly back home.
