Strasbourg is famous for its beautiful historical center, the Grande Île, which was the first city center classified entirely as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Strasbourg is one of the nine largest cities in France with nearly half a million inhabitants in the metropolitan area crossing the river to the German city of Kehl, on the eastern bank of the Rhine River.
Start off your visit on the 3rd (Thu): don't miss a visit to Château du Haut-Kœnigsbourg, admire the striking features of Gare de Strasbourg, and then contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Cathedrale Notre Dame de Strasbourg. On the next day, wander the streets of Little Venice, do a tasting at Domaine Albert Seltz, then wander the streets of La Petite France, and finally walk around Parc de l'Orangerie.

Crossed by the Canal de la Marne au Rhin, Nancy has many small boats and péniches (barges) that navigate the canal waterways, giving you a fantastic vantage point of the city's historical architecture from the water.
