Geneva brings the world to one small city with a huge expat population and the highest number of international organizations in any one city.
Do some cultural sightseeing at Cathedrale de Saint-Pierre and Patek Philippe Museum. Museum-lovers will get to explore International Red Cross and Red Crescent Museum and Musee des Suisses Dans Le Monde. Situated where the Swiss, German, and French borders meet, Basel is considered the hub of Dreilandereck, this "three countries corner." Its location makes Basel a center of culture and history, brimming with important theaters and museums.
Kick off your visit on the 15th (Sat): see the interesting displays at Museum of Communication, then engage your brain at Einstein House (Einsteinhaus), then shop like a local with UNESCO-Altstadt von Bern, and finally look for all kinds of wild species at Barenpark. Here are some ideas for day two: see the interesting displays at Spielzeug Welten Museum Basel, then steep yourself in history at Basel Minster, then take an in-depth tour of Basel Paper Mill - Swiss Museum for Paper, Writing and Printing, and finally admire the masterpieces at Museum Tinguely.
