The Port of the Moon

With a long history of producing regional wines since the Romans brought grapevines here during the first century, so many people consider Bordeaux to be the wine capital of the world.
Get a sense of the local culture at Place de la Bourse and Tour Pey-Berland. Change things up with these side-trips from Bordeaux: Chateau de Monbazillac (in Monbazillac), French Wine Adventures (in Saussignac) and Chateau Cantenac (in Saint-Emilion). And it doesn't end there: examine the collection at La Cite du Vin, do a tasting at Chateau Paloumey, make a trip to The Water Mirror, and get up close and personal with brilliant marine life at Aquarium La Rochelle.
