Alappuzha — 6 nights

Venice of the East

Affectionately known as Alleppey to locals and tourists alike, Alappuzha acts as a major transport and cultural hub on the Kerala backwaters.
You'll find plenty of places to visit near Alappuzha: Kumarakom (Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary & Kumarakom Craft Museum) and Bay Island Driftwood Museum (in Kottayam). Spend the 2nd (Wed) exploring at Kerala Backwaters. There's still lots to do: enjoy the sand and surf at Alappuzha Beach, don't miss a visit to Alappuzha Lighthouse, indulge in some personalized pampering at some of the best spas, and contemplate the waterfront views at Alleppey Backwaters.

Inspirock's itinerary builder makes planning a Alappuzha trip simple and quick.

Bengaluru to Alappuzha is an approximately 3-hour flight. You can also do a combination of flight and bus; or take a bus; or drive. Expect a daytime high around 36°C in June, and nighttime lows around 28°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 7th (Mon) so you can travel back home.
