Palani is a town and a municipality in Dindigul district, Tamil Nadu, located about 100km north-west of Madurai, 100km South-east of Coimbatore, and 60km west of Dindigul. Venture out of the city with trips to Badrakali Amman Temple (in Ramanathapuram), Kolukkumalai Tea Estate (in Kottagudi) and Meesapulimala (in Idukki). Spend the 5th (Sun) exploring nature at Nature Education Centre, Pampadum Shola. Spend the 7th (Tue) exploring nature at Anamudi Shola National Park. The adventure continues: admire the engineering at Aliyar Dam, take some stellar pictures from Loam’s View Point, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Balaji Temple, and delve into the lush surroundings at Marayoor Sandalwood Forest.
