New Delhi — 59 nights

Designed by notable English architects and proclaimed India's capital in 1931, New Delhi sits in the middle of a sprawling metropolitan area with a population of over 25 million.
You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Hauz Khas Village and Gurudwara Sis Ganj Sahib. Explore New Delhi's surroundings by going to Gurugram (Gurgaon) (Ryders Sports Academy, Sai Ka Angan Temple, &more), ISKCON Vrindavan (in Vrindavan) and Heritage Transport Museum (in Taoru). There's still lots to do: admire the striking features of Humayun's Tomb, relax and rejuvenate at some of the best spas, take in nature's colorful creations at Akshardham, and steep yourself in history at India Gate.

For where to stay, ratings, and tourist information, use the New Delhi online travel planner.

If you are flying in from United States, the closest major aiport is Indira Gandhi International Airport. Expect a daytime high around 98°F in April, and nighttime lows around 71°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 30th (Sat) to allow time to travel back home.
