The Grand Palace and Temple Of Dawn (Wat Arun) are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Venture out of the city with trips to Ayutthaya (Wat Maha That, Historic City of Ayutthaya, &more), Ancient City (in Samut Prakan) and Upside Down Pattaya (in Na Chom Thian). Spend the 18th (Sat) in the pleasant surroundings of Safari World. There's lots more to do: take in the spiritual surroundings of Wat Pho, get a taste of the local shopping with Chatuchak Weekend Market, take some stellar pictures from Wat Saket, and admire all the interesting features of Chinatown - Bangkok.

Take advantage of nighttime entertainment and daytime relaxation on a Patong vacation.
Big Buddha Phuket and The Phuket Gallery are good opportunities to explore the local culture. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Patong: Napas Art Gallery (in Choeng Thale), Nai Harn Beach (in Nai Harn) and Wat Sri Sunthon (in Si Sunthon).
