Quieter than nearby Patong Beach, the resort town of Karon offers a wide stretch of golden sand, which attracts mostly couples and families.
Big Buddha Phuket and Patong Inn Art are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Explore the numerous day-trip ideas around Karon: Wat Sri Sunthon (in Si Sunthon), Choeng Thale (Napas Art Gallery & Green Elephant Sanctuary Park) and Central Phuket (in Wichit).
