Quieter than nearby Patong Beach, the resort town of Karon offers a wide stretch of golden sand, which attracts mostly couples and families.
Big Buddha Phuket and Chaithararam Temple (Wat Chalong) are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Explore the numerous day-trip ideas around Karon: Choeng Thale (Napas Art Gallery & Green Elephant Sanctuary Park), Central Phuket (in Wichit) and Wat Sri Sunthon (in Si Sunthon).
