As the political and cultural capital of China, Beijing stands at the heart of Chinese history, buzzing with the energy of its high population density and centuries of importance.
Attractions like Mutianyu Great Wall and Summer Palace (Yiheyuan) make great kid-friendly stops. Do some cultural sightseeing at Lama Temple (Yonghegong) and National Museum Of China. There's lots more to do: get engrossed in the history at The Palace Museum, take some stellar pictures from Tiananmen Square (Tiananmen Guangchang), get in on the family fun at Olympic Park, and ponder the world of politics at Temple of Heaven.

One of east Asia's major cultural and financial centers, Seoul boasts five World Heritage Sites and a huge selection of museums, temples, shrines, palaces, parks, gardens, and glass-and-steel skyscrapers.
Changdeokgung Palace and Bukchon Hanok Village are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Family-friendly places like Gyeongbokgung Palace and Insadong will thrill your kids. Change things up with a short trip to Hwaseong Fortress in Suwon (about 1h 5 min away). There's lots more to do: stroll around Namsan Park, get engrossed in the history at National Museum of Korea, take some stellar pictures from N Seoul Tower, and appreciate the extensive heritage of Cheonggyecheon Stream.

The main town on the largest of Korea's islands, Jeju, has a volcanic landscape protected by UNESCO. The World Heritage-listed volcanic island includes the country's highest peak, sets of impressive lava tubes and columns, and several crater lakes.
Kids will appreciate attractions like Hamdeok Beach and Gimnyeong Seonsegi Beach. Do some cultural sightseeing at Jeju Folk Museum and Jeju National Museum. Step out of Jeju with an excursion to Cheonjiyeon Falls in Seogwipo--about 44 minutes away. Spend the 25th (Thu) wandering through the wild on a nature and wildlife tour. There's much more to do: get outside with Gwakji Gwamul Beach, enjoy the sand and surf at Geumneung Eutteumwon Beach, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Gwaneumsa Temple, and step off the mainland to explore Udo.
