One of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world, Madurai sits on the banks of the River Vaigai and serves as a center of Tamil culture.
Start off your visit on the 1st (Tue): contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Immaiyil Nanmai Tharuvar Temple, then contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Madurai Meenakshi Amman Temple, then browse the different shops at Majesty Cine Mall, and finally look for gifts at Prema Vilas. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 2nd (Wed): relax and rejuvenate at some of the best spas, gain insight with a tour of cultural highlights, and then take in the spiritual surroundings of Thiruparankundram Murugan Temple.
