Big Small Town

The financial hub of Switzerland, Zurich is most often associated with money and banks.
Get out of town with these interesting Zurich side-trips: Lucerne (Hofkirche, Rigi, &more) and Mt Pilatus (in Kriens). There's still lots to do: contemplate the waterfront views at Lake Zurich, admire the masterpieces at Museum of Art (Kunsthaus Zurich), and take a stroll through Old Town.

Stockholm, Sweden to Zurich is an approximately 5.5-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a train. Expect a daytime high around 30°C in July, and nighttime lows around 17°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 3rd (Sun) so you can go by car to Zermatt.

Zermatt — 1 night

Best known as home the Matterhorn mountain, Zermatt serves as a chic ski resort town of the Swiss Alps.
Kick off your visit on the 4th (Mon): explore the different monuments and memorials at Mountaineers' Cemetery, take in the awesome beauty at The Matterhorn, then go for a walk through Hinterdorfstrasse, and finally get great views at Gornergrat.

You can drive from Zurich to Zermatt in 4.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a train; or do a combination of bus and train. Cap off your sightseeing on the 4th (Mon) early enough to catch the train to Interlaken.

Interlaken — 1 night

Nestled between Lake Thun and Lake Brienz in the heart of the Jungfrau region, Interlaken became popular for its proximity to the mountains and lakes of the Bernese Oberland region.
On the 5th (Tue), get great views at Harderkulm and then fly like a bird with a parasailing or paragliding tour.

You can take a train from Zermatt to Interlaken in 3 hours. Another option is to drive. In July, daytime highs in Interlaken are 28°C, while nighttime lows are 15°C. On the 5th (Tue), wrap the sightseeing up by early afternoon so you can travel back home.
