Sipping champagne in Marne is not the only thing that this historic department in the Champagne-Ardenne region offers. You can visit the historical cathedral where the kings of France were traditionally crowned, go bird watching at one of the lakes or regional parks, or take a tour of a scenic wine route. If you love the outdoors, especially fishing and swimming, you'll love this department's abundant lakes and the river Marne. Of course, visiting champagne vineyards that produce the world-famous sparkling wine is a favorite activity on any vacation here.
