Geneva brings the world to one small city with a huge expat population and the highest number of international organizations in any one city.
You'll visit kid-friendly attractions like The Geneva Water Fountain and Palais des Nations, Genève. Get outdoors at Creux du Van and Bains des Paquis. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Geneva: Montreux (Montreux Lakeside & Freddie Mercury Statue), Chaplin's World (in Corsier-sur-Vevey) and Tourbieres des Ponts-de-Martel (in Les Ponts-de-Martel). There's much more to do: get great views at Cathedrale de Saint-Pierre, identify plant and animal life at Gorges de l'Areuse, get to know the fascinating history of Escaliers du Marche, and take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Dent de Vaulion.

Zermatt — 7 nights

Best known as home the Matterhorn mountain, Zermatt serves as a chic ski resort town of the Swiss Alps.
Kids will appreciate attractions like Gornergrat and 5 Lakes Walk. Step out of the city life by going to The Matterhorn and Riffelsee. Change things up with a short trip to Alpine Trails in Visp (about 50 minutes away). There's lots more to do: take in the dramatic natural features at Aletsch Glacier, admire the verdant scenery at Val d'Anniviers, take in the awesome beauty at Pollux, and glide through the air with a parasailing or paragliding tour.

Traveling by car from Geneva to Zermatt takes 3.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a train. Finish your sightseeing early on the 14th (Sat) to allow enough time to take a train to Interlaken.

Nestled between Lake Thun and Lake Brienz in the heart of the Jungfrau region, Interlaken became popular for its proximity to the mountains and lakes of the Bernese Oberland region.
Bring the kids along to Parasailing & Paragliding and Barenpark. Visiting Jungfraujoch and Grindelwald-First will get you outdoors. Get out of town with these interesting Interlaken side-trips: Church of the Holy Ghost (in Bern), The Central Church Of Thun (in Thun) and Wengen (Luftseilbahn Wengen-Mannlichen & Molitor). There's lots more to do: take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Harderkulm, admire the sheer force of Staubbach Waterfall, admire the verdant scenery at Lauterbrunnen Village, and tour the pleasant surroundings at Maennlichen.

You can take a train from Zermatt to Interlaken in 3 hours. Another option is to drive. Expect a daytime high around 45°F in November, and nighttime lows around 33°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 21st (Sat) so you can drive to Lucerne.
