The capital and largest city of Serbia, cosmopolitan Belgrade sits on the confluence of the Sava and the Danube rivers.
Get a sense of the local culture at Crkva Svetog Marka and Museum of Illusions. Discover out-of-the-way places like Zepter Museum , Belgrade and Ružica. Change things up with a short trip to Smederevo Fortress in Smederevo (about 56 minutes away). Getting from Shkoder to Himare by car takes about 5.5 hours. Other options: do a combination of train and car; or do a combination of train and shuttle. You'll lose 1 hour traveling from Shkoder to Himare due to the time zone difference. Traveling from Shkoder in February, expect a bit warmer with lows of 45°F in Himare.
