Chennai to Shimla is an approximately 5-hour flight. You can also drive; or do a combination of train and bus. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 4th (Sun) early enough to drive to Sangla.

Sangla — 1 night

Close to the Tibetan border, Sangla is a small town rarely visited by foreign tourists.
Start off your visit on the 5th (Mon): take a stroll through Rakcham and then tour the pleasant surroundings at Chitkul. On your second day here, delve into the distant past at Kamru Fort and then stroll through Rupin Pass.

You can drive from Shimla to Sangla in 7 hours. Finish your sightseeing early on the 6th (Tue) to allow enough time to drive to Kaza.

Kaza — 1 night

The town of Kaza, Kaze or Kaja is the subdivisional headquarters of the remote Spiti Valley in the Lahaul and Spiti district of the state of Himachal Pradesh in the Western Himalayas of India. Kick off your visit on the 7th (Wed): take in the spiritual surroundings of Komic Monastery, then don't miss a visit to Komick Village, then stop by Hikkim, and finally don't miss a visit to Langza. On your second day here, don't miss a visit to Kibber Village, then admire the verdant scenery at Spiti Valley, and then admire the landmark architecture of Sakya Tangyud Monastery.

People visit Manali for a number of reasons, but all of them revolve around the landscape.
Take a break from the city and head to Beas River and Solang Nullah. Hidimba Devi Temple and Manu Temple are good opportunities to explore the local culture. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Manali: Naggar Castle (in Naggar), Hampta (in Kullu) and The Himalayan Trout Fish Farm (in Haripur). The hill station of Dharamsala's reputation stems from its large community of exiled Tibetan Buddhists, including the Dalai Lama.
Visiting Bhagsu Waterfall and Dal Lake will get you outdoors. Take a break from Dharamsala with a short trip to Kangra Fort in Kangra, about 48 minutes away. Set over a number of hills, the quiet town of Dalhousie was established by the British in the 19th century as a summer resort town.
Escape the urban bustle at Dainkund Peak and Kalatop Wildlife Sanctuary. When in Dalhousie, make a side trip to see Khajjiar Lake in Chamba, approximately Chamba away. There's still lots to do: contemplate the waterfront views at Chamera Lake, pause for some serene contemplation at St. John's Church, trek along Garam Sadak, and admire the natural beauty at Rock Garden.
