A beautiful and romantic city fit for any itinerary, Paris brims with historic associations and remains vastly influential in the realms of culture, art, fashion, food and design.
Take a break from the city and head to Seine River and L'Orangerie. Explore the numerous day-trip ideas around Paris: Caresse de Tigre (in La Mailleraye-sur-Seine), L'Arche Feline (in Vascoeuil) and Rouen (Cahem & Roumare Forest). There's still lots to do: make a trip to Louvre Museum, wander the streets of Montmartre, pause for some serene contemplation at Basilique du Sacre-Coeur de Montmartre, and contemplate the long history of Eiffel Tower.

Lyon is a historical city with a vibrant cultural scene as the birthplace of cinema, the silk capital of the globe, and the second biggest Renaissance city following Venice.
Take a break from the city and head to Parc d'Activites de Montagne de Praboure and Footpath of Les Roselieres. Get out of town with these interesting Lyon side-trips: Lac du Grand Colombier (in Anse), Les Grottes d'Aze (in Aze) and Carrieres de Glay (in Saint-Germain-Nuelles). There's still lots to do: contemplate the waterfront views at Lake Annecy, get outside with Go & Sea, trek along Les Pertes de le Valserine, and admire the striking features of Basilique Notre Dame de Fourviere.
