A beautiful and romantic city fit for any itinerary, Paris brims with historic associations and remains vastly influential in the realms of culture, art, fashion, food and design.
Take a break from the city and head to Seine River and Île de la Cité. Change things up with these side-trips from Paris: Versailles (The Trianons & The Hamlet, L'Orangerie, &more), Foret d'Ermenonville (in Ermenonville) and Arboretum de la Vallee-aux-Loups (in Chatenay-Malabry). Lyon is a historical city with a vibrant cultural scene as the birthplace of cinema, the silk capital of the globe, and the second biggest Renaissance city following Venice.
Take a break from the city and head to Lake Annecy and Go & Sea. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Lyon: Annecy (Le Thiou, Ile des Cygnes, &more), Grenoble (Climbing Tours, Canyoning & Rappelling Tours, &more) and Les Gorges du Fier (in Lovagny).
